Weapon FAQ
How do weapon rarities work in The Veil?
Common and uncommon weapons have no abilities. Rare weapons get a passive or one ability, elite weapons one or two actives plus a passive, and legendary weapons need a Mastery Oath before they answer you.
Why can I not use my legendary weapon?
Legendary and above weapons are locked behind Mastery Oaths. Hand a legendary of that type to Valor (melee, Coliseum), Thunder (magic, blue mushroom area) or the Summoner in the Sky (summons, Sky's Reach), finish the oath quest, and the weapon works. Carvos in the castle resets an oath.
What are the best early weapons?
Pot Guy's three: Willow Lantern (Wraiths, 1/50), Nimbus Rod (Angry Nimbus in rain, 1/25) and Morning Wake once you can farm it. Shadowbeam Staff is the strongest cast weapon obtainable before any boss.
What does cast damage mean?
Any damage from magic: staffs, wands and cast abilities. Goblin and Underling boost it; Gemhead boosts summon damage instead.
